Chairman and CEO - Peter Neckles
Peter, a native Trinidadian is the founder of BMAK. Peter was
educated in England and obtained an HND in Computing at Portsmouth
University. Peter joined Neal and Massy in 1982 after
graduating and in 1983 he joined National Commercial Bank, now
known as First Citizen Bank.
At FCB Peter was responsible for the
support of the bank's new online banking application. After FCB, he
joined, CIBC (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce), as a Senior Analyst,
responsible for reviewing the bank's loan portfolio and payroll
systems. Within 2 years he was promoted to Manager for Systems and
Development with responsibility for support to the other CIBC banks in
the region, namely Bahamas, Barbados and Jamaica.
In 1993, he joined a private Computer
firm (CECP) with responsibility for Software, Training and Consulting.
During this period he won contracts to provide training to a number of
large corporate clients and hence gained recognition for CECP as one of
the leading training companies in Trinidad. It was at CECP, when
approached by clients for a computerized payroll system, that he
designed a payroll system for medium sized companies, which is being
used by many companies today.
Peter eventually formed his own computer
consulting firm offering consultancy services in computer technology.
Among his clients are companies such as American Express, Mackenzie
Financial and IBM Canada. Peter's career highlights include managing
virtual teams that are located in the USA, India, Singapore and England.
Peter introduced the National
Insurance Board of Trinidad and Tobago to a unique design to allow
companies to submit their NIS contributions via the web. BMAK was later
awarded a contract to develop a web based application to achieve that
objective. Peter has a keen interest in education and has also lectured
to undergraduate and MBA students.
