Merv is responsible for providing innovative telecom and information technology solutions. Always known for his strong implementation and negotiation skills with suppliers, Merv’s technical leadership ensures that telecom customers will have service deliveries, as per specification, on time and within budget.

Merv's expertise with Telecom Management includes overall Network security, services, architecture and Codec design. Merv has also prepared specifications for the requirements, architecture and solutions for provisioning and management of the network (RAN, CN, IMS) and its services.

Merv is an advisor to senior consultants for 2 cellular providers in INDIA on CRM’s for billing and readiness consultation for Number Portability clearing house solutions. Merv has shown telcos on how to select consultants who can provide an implementation and integration service to their existing CRM.

Merv was formerly Advisor to the Vice President of Engineering as well as Vice president of Information Technology at Saudi Telecom, Riyadh Saudi Arabia. During Merv's career at Saudi Telecom (1984-1999), his technical teams successfully managed the Telephone Expansion Project # 6 [TEP-6] which put in the infra structure for 1.5 million lines with a budget of US$640 million for Telcom equipment and services. Merv also managed the Y2K projects at Saudi Telecom, and later worked with a senior team to privatize Saudi Telecom. During his 15 year tenure at Saudi Telecom, Merv, who was initially employed by Bell Canada International, was retained by Saudi Telecom with other Contractors as Telecom Australia and the Deutsche Bundespost, when prior contractors left the project. As a result, Merv brought good continuity to the project and got contractors to resolve their technical issues

Merv has several investments in technology based start up companies. Since 1999, Merv is also a consultant to Maxwell Paper Canada Inc., located in Belleville, ON with 7 locations across Canada. Merv has conducted several wireless based EVDO trials, and is currently working in developing the concept of ready to deploy 4G femtocells that can provide IP broadband connectivity and backhaul to the home, simplify provisioning, and further reducing the expense of deploying and operating a wireless network infrastructure.
